BINGO SPLASH allows you to chat with other people while playing bingo, while waiting to play bingo, when feeling like chatting with some other BINGO SPLASH fans, or when needing on-line technical support. Click the Chat button in the upper left corner of the playing window. This will launch the chat window automatically.
The lower part of the window is occupied by five buttons which provide access to the various options of the chat:
The Rooms button displays a list of the available chat rooms. Click the room that you want to enter. The name of the selected room is shown in the upper left part of the window.
The Talk to button displays a list of all players in the currently selected room. Use the arrow buttons to locate the person who you want to chat with, and then click his or her name. The name of the selected chatter is displayed in the upper right.
The Action button displays a list of standard messages through which you can express a certain emotion (laughter, approval, etc.), ask for help, or just say 'hi' to the other chatters in the room. Use the arrow buttons to select the desired action from the list of the available actions, and then click it. The message is automatically sent to its recipient.
If you encounter an offensive chatter, you have the option of ignoring him or her by using the Ignore button. To block the chat messages coming from a particular chatter, click his or her name on the list, and then click the Ignore button. To unignore the chatter, use the Undo Ignore button.
The Chat Line is located immediately below the chat area. Type here your message, and then press ENTER to send it to the selected player.
By default, the chat window opens in the central area of the playing window. The program allows you to resize and change the position of the chat window, provided you are not happy with its default location and size.
To resize the chat window, move the pointer over any edge of the window until it changes to a double-headed arrow, and then drag the edge of the window in or out. Drag diagonally from any corner to resize the width and height proportionally.
To set the chat window location, place the pointer in the title bar of the window, and then drag and drop the window to the desired place.
